Where to Eat in Seoul on Lunar New Year 2021
Lunar New Year or Seollal is fast approaching, and if you haven’t made any plans for the 3-day holiday yet (Feb. 11-13, 2021), how about visiting one of N Seoul Tower’s restaurants: Hancook. The Korean restaurant is offering a special Rice Cake Soup with Dumplings (떡 만두국), which is commonly eaten during the occasion.
As tradition goes, Koreans age up by a year during Seollal, but before they do, they’d have to eat a steamy bowl of rice cake soup. (Nowadays, many Koreans also mark their aging-up at the start of the Gregorian calendar or on January 1st.)
