Cafes & Restaurants in Gangnam

1. Maissong

Brunch in Seoul.

This is possibly the best place to start your day in Gangnam. Run by a famous local chef, Maissong is a modern rustic brunch restaurant in Seoul where you can get french toasts, BLT, Cobb Salad, wings, and tacos. Their Spinach and Bacon Eggs Benedict is the standout — it’s perfectly built and very tasty. But whatever item you decide to order, make sure to follow through with any of their homemade cakes and a warm cuppa joe. (If you love brunch buffets like I do, visit Maissong on a Wednesday. That’s when they have their fabulous brunch spread.)

The food was fantastic and [it’s] the perfect place to have brunch.

2. Luna

One of the finer restaurants in Gangnam that offers Bossam or Korean Boiled Pork.

Luna in Gangnam is where you should go if you’re looking to dine in an elegant place, one that suits friends who are looking to catch up or couples who are on a date. If you’re visiting, this fusion restaurant will give you a taste of the city with their signature Bossam (보쌈 or Korean boiled pork) and Chicken Teriyaki.

The store is nice, the staff is kind, and bossam is delicious! The serving is plenty too!

Drop round when your late-night burger craving strikes.

There’s plenty of good burger restaurants in Seoul, but only a few are as innovative and satisfying as Barney Burger. On their menu, you’ll find three excellent options: one that has bacon and fried eggs (or what they call the 베이컨 꼬꼬버거), one that’s oozing with ricotta and cheddar cheese, and one that’s filled with mushrooms. But what about the burger patties, you ask? They’re juicy and huge!

The staff is friendly and the burger is delicious! Thank you.

If there’s a place in Seoul where you should be right now, it’ll be Picky Papa. Well-documented on Instagram, this cafe and restaurant brings together foodies, groups of friends, four-legged friends, and fans of Kang Daniel. If you’d like to kill some time, eat pizza, meet dogs from the ‘hood, and have bingsu, come over to this place. There are so many dessert options here. You can try bingsu, bread, gelato, [and] even pizza!

Aside from being an overall nice place to chill, the menu offerings at Picky Papa Cafe will amplify the experience. 8. Yeoljongdo Korean BBQ

Soju and Korean BBQ.

It’s difficult to pick the best Korean BBQ restaurant in Seoul, but Yeoljongdo will definitely make the Top 10. That’s because they employ a special 14-day aging technique on their meats, which makes them ooze with so much flavor. Even locals who know their BBQ well get impressed!

The meat is really delicious! It is a restaurant that I like to go to next time because of the friendly service. If you eat the meat with a little bit of herbs and wasabi, the meat just melts.

Weekends are best spent in this cafe in Itaewon.

Dedot Cafe in Itaewon is considered one of the three hottest spots in Seoul for excellent reasons. It has a rich European finish, a bright outdoor space, and desserts that’ll please anyone with a sweet tooth. If you want to visit Dedot Cafe and make the most of your weekend, get their strawberry tart or chocolate mousse cake; they’ll leave you wanting for more.

It was a little chilly in the evening, but when the weather is warm, it might be a good idea to have coffee on the terrace. In particular, I was worried about the sweetness of the Dedot Pink latte, but the sweetness was perfect.
