Kansai Area Pass Map: What are the areas covered?

As the name suggests, the Kansai Area Pass covers the Kansai district or region, which is found in the southern part of the main Japanese island Honshū. The Kansai Area Pass covers Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, as well as Nara, Wakayama, and Himeji.   • The Kansai Area Pass is valid for unlimited travel in the valid area shown on the map above.
  • It’s valid for use at the Kansai Airport Express Haruka (non-reserved seating), as well as Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines.
