Getting Started with WAUG
If you’re all set to book a travel SIM card, transit pass, and things-to-do for your trip, or if you want to spend your weekend at a nice restaurant or spa in your city, you can use WAUG’s website or mobile app. Below are the 5 steps to make your first booking:
1. Create an account

If you’re on WAUG’s desktop homepage, click the Sign in button on the top navigation bar or the floating coupon. They will take you to WAUG’s sign up page.
If you’re using the app, find the Account icon on the bottom navigation bar. Click the Sign in / Sign up banner that will show on the next page.

To create an account, you may sign up with your email address. You may also click the Facebook or Google icon to link your existing profiles to WAUG.
Once your account is created, add some personality to your profile by uploading a photo!
2. Save and select activities

It’s now time to browse the activities on WAUG! (You can actually do this without signing up for an account, but we recommend creating one and staying logged in to get personalized recommendations.)

When you select one of our City Pages, you can browse all available travel essentials, tours, and restaurants in that area. Categories include:
- Restaurants & Dining
- Activities & Experiences
- Spas & Lounges
- Tours & Sightseeing
- Attractions & Shows
- Transport
- SIM Cards and WiFi
Some tips to use WAUG like a pro:
a. Pick your preferred language and currency
Languages currently available on WAUG include Korean, English, and Japanese.
You may also view product rates in your local currency. At the moment, some options include KRW (₩), HKD (HK$), NTD (NT$), PHP (₱), USD (US$), SGD (S$), JPY (¥), and others. More currencies will be available soon!
b. Create your WAUG Wish List
Got a product that you want to save for later viewing and booking? You can bookmark it by clicking on the heart icon on the banner photo, as shown below.

To view your bookmarked products, click on the Account Icon and select Wish List.
c. Use the map
If you want to explore activities near you (whether you’re overseas or at home!), you can use WAUG’s Map feature on the website or mobile app.
d. Go over the product features
When you’re viewing a product on WAUG, you’ll get quick tips to help you plan and book the activity. Here’s a sample:

The common features that you’ll see are:
- Availability: Available today ⚡or Available on date
- Voucher type: Mobile voucher or Printed voucher
- Cancellation: Available or Unavailable
- Quantity: 1 person, 2 persons, 4 persons
- Usability: Use only on the scheduled date
- Language: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc.
Aside from the product features, you can also view the Highlights, What’s Included, How to Use, What to Remember, and Cancellation sections.
e. Check out the reviews
We encourage our users to leave reviews of the activities that are offered by our partner merchants to help and inspire other WAUG members. The Review section will show the average rating, text reviews, and photo reviews of the product.
f. Choose the right options
Each activity may contain multiple product options, so make sure to select the right one for your trip when applicable. For example, WAUG offers the Tokyo Subway Ticket in its 24, 48, and 72-hour variants and you’ll have to select if you’re buying one for an adult or child.
When you’ve selected the right options, you will then be required to select the date of redemption, time slots (if applicable), and other information.
3. Check out
Ready to proceed with booking? Check your Account first if you have coupons available to use!

When you’re good to go, you can then pay for the products in your cart by using your Visa, Mastercard, or AMEX card. If you’ve earned enough WAUG points, you can also use them to pay for your booking! (You can find more information about WAUG’s loyalty program when you click the WAUG Benefits banner on your profile.)
Mobile Number Verification
As an added safety feature, you’ll have to verify your phone number before making a purchase. (This should take no time! 😉)
4. Receive your WAUG mobile vouchers
When the payment is through, expect to receive the voucher in your inbox (email) and the app (Click on the Voucher icon on the bottom navigation bar).

Please note that each product has a different voucher delivery time. Some may be instant, which means you will receive the voucher in a matter of seconds, while some may take up to 3 days, which means that the partner merchant or tour operator needs some time to confirm it.
To view your recent transactions and its status, click Reservations under Account when viewing on your browser or click Orders when using the mobile application.
Note that if the activity requires a Printed Voucher (This information can be viewed under the How to Use section in each product page), you must prepare a hardcopy upon redemption. Of course, Mobile vouchers can be used right away without having to present a printout.
5. Leave a review
Once you’ve completed an activity that you booked on WAUG, make sure to leave a review so you can get discount coupons! (Attaching relevant photos will get you a coupon with a higher value!)
