Hey everyone!
If you’re planning a trip to Hong Kong, seeing the dazzling cityscape from Victoria Peak is an absolute must-do! Seriously, there’s no better spot to catch the Symphony of Lights show. Today, I’m sharing all my insider tips on how to get to Victoria Peak and the best time to visit!
Getting to Victoria Peak

The quickest and most convenient way to ascend to Victoria Peak is via the iconic Peak Tram. This funicular railway whisks you up 1,800 feet in just about seven minutes. So, how do you get to the Peak Tram station?
Just plug “The Peak Tram” into your Google Maps, and the location that pops up is your boarding point. It’s located in Central and surprisingly close – you can reach it in under 10 minutes.
Grabbing Your Peak Tram Tickets

You’ll often find quite a crowd waiting at The Peak Tram Station. That’s why I highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance through WAUG. Their tickets let you skip the ticket booth line and head straight in with a QR code – talk about saving time!

Peak Tram Riding Tips

The sixth-generation Peak Tram is now a cool green color! The interior feels much cleaner than before. Here’s a pro tip for when you board: try to snag a seat on the right side facing uphill. Trust me, that’s where you’ll get the best panoramic views of Hong Kong’s skyline and scenery as you ascend.
Seating isn’t assigned, so it’s first-come, first-served. Even though the ride is only seven minutes, the Hong Kong night view unfolding before you is truly breathtaking.
Catching the 8 PM Symphony of Lights

The absolute best vantage point to witness Hong Kong’s spectacular Symphony of Lights is from the Sky Terrace 428 observation deck at Victoria Peak. Located on the top floor of the Peak Tower, this 360-degree open-air platform offers unobstructed views of the cityscape and the dazzling light show.
It gets super crowded around 8 PM, so to get a good viewing spot for the Symphony of Lights, I suggest heading up before 7 PM. Once 8 PM rolls around, the crowds can get intense, making it hard to properly enjoy the show.
So, go soak in those incredible Hong Kong night views and have an amazing trip!
