Countries That are Open for Filipinos in the Philippines

If you’re currently in the Philippines and are somewhat curious where you can travel, check out the list below. This is a simplified version of DFA’s updated infographics (as of June 28), which you can access here. (The information below may not reflect the current restrictions and policies of the Philippine government and its counterparts. Check with authorities before proceeding with your travel plans.)

1. Antigua & Barbuda

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Antigua & Barbuda but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival.

Recommended activity: Dickenson Bay. With a stunning white sand beach that’s lined with al fresco restaurants, as well as water sports activities for thrill-seekers, this is where you’d want to be when you fly into Antigua & Barbuda.

2. Mexico

Unconditional travel: Filipinos in the Philippines may leave the Philippines and fly into Mexico without special conditions.

3. United States of America

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to the US provided that flights are available (subject to visa policies).

Recommended activities: If you plan to explore the East Coast, don’t miss the Statue of Liberty, Universal Studios Orlando, and this bus tour that makes a stop at the White House. For West Coast, you may want to check out the Golden Gate Bridge, the Grand Canyon, and Columbia Tower in Seattle!

4. Bangladesh

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Bangladesh but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival.

Recommended activity: Barisal. Life in Barisal pretty much revolves around the river, and they have floating markets as their main attraction.

5. Cambodia

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Cambodia but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival and other entry requirements of the Cambodian government.

Recommended activity: Angkor Wat. Take in the history and architectural beauty of the largest religious monument in the world!

6. Malaysia

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to and transit in Malaysia provided that flights are available and they meet the entry requirements of the Malaysian government.

Recommended activity: “Off The Eaten Track” Street Food Tour. Just ’cause no visitor must leave the country without having as many authentic Malaysian food as possible!

7. Maldives

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Maldives but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival.

Recommended activity: Hulhumale Beach, Kurumba Beach, and Bikini Beach. Do what you came to Maldives for!

8. Micronesia

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Micronesia but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival.

Recommended activity: Chuuk Lagoon. If you are an experienced diver, you will love the wrecked torpedoes, tanks, and trucks in this place!

9. Mongolia

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Mongolia but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival.

Recommended activity: The Mongolian Military Museum. Here you can check out the weapons that were used by Mongolia’s military!

10. New Zealand

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to and transit in New Zealand (subject to visa regulations).

Recommended activity: Franz Josef Glacier Hot Pools. Here’s where you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of New Zealand and feel the warm waters of their hot springs.

11. South Korea

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to South Korea but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival (subject to visa policies).

Recommended activity: Han River Chavit Cuisine Buffet. Han River is one of the attractions that define Seoul, which only means that you should not miss it! When you come down, maximize your visit by dining at Chavit Cuisine. (Oh, and don’t forget to visit the palaces!)

12. Singapore

Travel restriction: Filipinos may travel to Singapore but will be subject to medical protocol upon arrival (must meet the entry requirements of the Singaporean government).
